Our Vision: to prepare individuals, families, and the community for a positive future in which persons with acquired and developmental neurological differences can be active, contributing members within their families and society as a whole.
Our Mission: NMTSA is committed to helping individuals achieve rich and meaningful relationships with confidence and independence. To this end, NMTSA strives to 1) innovate and lead in developing and delivering best practice approaches and access to neurologic music therapy services, 2) excel in the general education of persons with neurological impairments, 3) deliver community education/training to family members, caregivers and professionals regarding NMT and the use of rhythm in the identification and implementation of accommodations and positive supports, and 4) promote advances in research related to best practice approaches.
